Cost for the 2025 swim season is as follows:

  • In-season -- $150 family fee and $125 per swimmer

Key dates to remember as we get ready for the season:

  • April 1 -- Online registration opens.  Sign up now to pay pre-season (less) and not in-season (more) to swim this year.
  • April 26 -- In-person registration at the Olney Public Library on Route 108.  We'll be there from 11:30 - 1:30, and it's your chance to meet with the coaches and team managers.  We'll also have some team merchandise and swimsuit sizing kits available to get you ready for the season.  You've all grown since last year!
  • May 3 -- Volunteer sign-up opens online at 9am.  The jobs you want will go quick, because everyone wants those too, so don't delay!
  • May 4 -- Last day to sign up and get pre-season rates.
  • May 5 -- First day of in-season rates.  Sign up before this date!
  • May 22 -- Last day to purchase spirit wear and team suits from the Team Store.

Welcome Back Hurricanes!

Since 1991, the Hallowell Hurricanes Swim Team has provided young people the chance to experience competitive swimming in a fun environment. All members of the Hallowell and Lake Hallowell community pools between the ages of 4-18 can join. In addition to offering competitive swimming, the team has three important goals:

  1. To provide competent coaching so that swimmers can improve their skills and better enjoy the sport.
  2. To help swimmers develop self-discipline and self-pride as they assume the responsibilities of belonging to a team and working with others.
  3. To encourage family participation and sharing in the fun and excitement of the meets and other activities.

Each year more and more team members choose to swim year-round because of their positive summer experience with the Hurricanes. Our team is proud of the large number of families we have exposed to the great sport of swimming.
