About the Hurricanes
Mission
The mission of the Hallowell Hurricanes Swim Team is to create a safe, healthy, and positive environment to teach the benefits and joys of hard work, mental focus, team spirit, and physical training in the context of swimming. We inspire a swim team culture where everyone encourages and takes pride in each other at all levels of competition and forge lifelong friendships in and out of the water. The purpose of the Team is to:
- Promote competitive swimming in a fun, safe, and inclusive environment.
- Encourage physical fitness, sportsmanship, and team spirit.
- Provide instruction and opportunities for swimmers of all skill levels.
The Hallowell Hurricanes Swim Team Inc. is a 501(c)(3) exempt organization. Gifts and donations to the club are deductible as charitable contributions for your federal income tax purposes.

Outside Pool Memberships
If you'd like to join the Hallowell Hurricanes Swim Team, your family must be a member of the Hallowell or Lake Hallowell community pools. Residents of those communities who are in good standing with their respective HOA's are already members of their respective pools. If you live outside of Hallowell and Lake Hallowell, you can apply for an outside pool membership here:

Remember that membership at either community pool entitles you to privileges at that specific pool. Although we share a swim team and limited privileges during swim team events, the communities each maintain their respective pools. So please join us, but also please choose your pool wisely!
