Good morning Hurricanes, and Happy May!

This is an important week for the team -- lots of important things happening -- so please give this message a good read.  It involves Volunteer Sign-Up, cost of Registration, and Outside Pool Memberships...

Volunteer Sign-Up

Sign-up for volunteer positions opens Saturday, May 2, at 9:00am on the website.  When you login to Swimtopia, navigate to Signup Calendar under Meets & Events.  That's where you can sign up to volunteer this season.  And of course you want to volunteer!  We can't run a successful season without everyone's help.  It really does take a village to pull this off!  So sign up early, because your favorite job will go fast.  Also note that we need everyone's help for Time Trials (June 6) and Senior Night (July 15) as these are both Hallowell-only events -- there's no visiting team to take 1/2 the slots.  If you have questions about volunteering, you can contact [email protected] with those questions.

Registration Fees

The last day to register for summer swim at the discounted, pre-season rate is this Sunday (May 3)!  The cost goes up on Monday, so register ASAP!  Don't miss out on the discounted fees and the chance to sign-up for your favorite volunteer jobs early.

Outside Pool Memberships

If you'd like to join the Hallowell Hurricanes Swim Team, your family must be a member of the Hallowell or Lake Hallowell community pools. Residents of those communities who are in good standing with their respective HOA's are already members of their respective pools. If you live outside of Hallowell and Lake Hallowell, you can apply for an outside pool membership here:

Remember that membership at either community pool entitles you to privileges at that specific pool. Although we share a swim team and limited privileges during swim team events, the communities each maintain their respective pools. So please join us, but also please choose your pool wisely!
